Why change the name?

Well, I like the name Plant-Aardig, but there are quite a few Dutch-language websites whose names are some variation of the Dutch word ‘plantaardig’. Some of them didn’t exist before my site, some of them did but I was unaware of them. Some of them have been inactive for years. I figured the best thing to do was to get a unique name and identity.

Why “Ticho’s Table”?

Ticho is the site’s cute little mascot, designed by the talented Julie Van Wezemael. I thought it would be good to pick a name that involves Ticho so that his presence is more justified … and because everybody loves Ticho!

Ticho is also represented in a growing series of stickers on Giphy, which I use in my Instagram posts.
