The site is run by Jonathan. His little green companion Ticho is the site’s adorable mascot – more about him below.

Hi, I’m Jonathan

Thanks for visiting my site!

I’m a British native living in Ghent, Belgium.

I am the host of the Ticho’s Table Podcast together with Valentine Gallardo who co-hosts the Vegan Whines segment of the show with me.

Val and I also wrote a graphic novel together featuring plant-based recipes: Lovely’s, a vegan cookbook.

I don’t make any money out of Ticho’s Table. I make a living as a freelance writer and translator, having studied Germanic Languages at Trinity College, Dublin. How did I end up in either Ireland or Belgium? That’s another story.

Ticho is the site’s adorable mascot. His name comes from the word arTICHOke and is pronounced “TEE-cho”.

He was originally designed by the talented Julie Van Wezemael. Follow her on Instagram: @julievanwezemael.

Sometimes I animate or draw him myself or invite artists to draw him.
